Little Sango Japanese Maple

‘Little Sango’ is a stunning variation of the Coral Bark Japanese Maple that provides unparalleled winter interest in a compact, bushy form. Because it is slower growing than ‘Sango kaku’, the vivid red bark on its young branches is especially long lasting, and its twiggy, densely branched habit increases the intensity of this color. In spring, the foliage emerges chartreuse before maturing to deeper green, and then finally glows bright yellow to orange in fall. Thanks to its small size, this extraordinary specimen is equally enjoyable in a container or planted in the ground.
