Commonly known as Douglas Fir, Pseudotsuga menziesii is an icon of the Pacific Northwest; in fact, Oregon claims the species as its state tree. The cultivars we offer demonstrate some of the variability of the genus: one is as blue as Colorado spruce and others  develop into dramatic, sculptural shapes. All thrive in moist, acid soils and love full sun, but they also grow happily in a variety of conditions. Hardiness varies among cultivars.
