We offer two different species of Elm. Ulmus parviflora, the Chinese Elm, has flaking bark that is mottled with tans and reds, hence the reason it is sometimes known as Lacebark Elm. Ulmus minor has smaller leaves than its European cousins, consistent with the species name minor and lightly furrowed bark. Elms are adaptable to many soils but thrive in a fertile, moist environment.
