Cultivars of the majestic, fast-growing Sequoiadendron giganteum (commonly known as both, the Giant Redwood and the Giant Sequoia) include beautiful variations on a theme. Some forms of the dramatic, broadly pyramidal redwood giants are smaller than the species and some boast desirable blue foliage and full size for the landscape. Others in the genus are amazing — and amusing — pendulous trees, those Dr. Seuss types that grow into unique botanic sculptures. All the selections we offer are virtually carefree, when given moist soil and moderate climates, and they develop good drought tolerance when established.
