Picea glauca
'Cecilia'
A witch's broom found by Greg Williams near Skippack Highway, northeast of Philadelphia. Globose, compact, grey-blue selection. 3-6" per year. 3-5 ft. Bluish Green Globose Full sun. -50 to -40 F
Picea glauca
'Conica'
The dwarf Alberta spruce may well be the most popular dwarf conifer in cultivation. The basic conifer for your home landscape. Excellent subject for a wide range of topiary forms. This conical plant with fine, dense, grass-green foliage was found by Prof. J.G. Jack and Alfred Rehder of the Arnold Arboretum in 1904 at Lake Leggan, Alberta, Canada. 3-6" per year. 3-5 ft. Green Upright Narrow Full sun. -30 to -20 F
Picea glauca
'Echiniformis'
Low, cushion-shaped plant. Greyish blue-green, thin, short needles. Very slow-growing. Excellent for rock or trough garden. 2-3" per year 1.5-2.5 ft. Bluish Green Globose Full sun. -30 to -20 F
Picea glauca
'Elf'
A gem of a specimen, perfect for the rock garden. An extremely slow-growing, dense globe with short, thin needles. A witch's broom found on a Picea glauca 'Conica'. 2-3" per year 1.5-2.5 ft. Green Globose Full sun. -30 to -20 F
Picea glauca 'Hobbit' This short, plump selection of Picea glauca 'Conica' exhibits the same likeability as its namesake, Bilbo Baggins from JRR Tolkien’s The Hobbit. Like Baggins, the small, reliable White Spruce is half-size, well behaved and hard working. Tiny green needles on upright branches give the globose young ‘Hobbit’ charm and contribute to its appeal as it matures into a wide cone. Provide ample moisture for this adaptable cultivar discovered at Iseli Nursery. 2-3" per year 1.5-2.5 ft. Green Globose Full sun. -30 to -20 F
Picea glauca 'Humpty Dumpty' The habit of this extremely dense, Alberta-type plant explains it name: short and plump, kind of egg-shaped, like Humpty Dumpty. With nearly equal base width and height, it forms an almost perfect pyramid that is only 2/3 the size of ‘Conica.’ Found as a witch’s broom and introduced by Iseli Nursery. 2-3" per year 1.5-2.5 ft. Green Upright Broad Full sun. -30 to -20 F
Picea glauca
'Jean's Dilly'®
An extraordinary dwarf form of the popular dwarf Alberta spruce. 'Jean's (pronounced John's) Dilly'T  grows at only one-half to two-thirds the rate of dwarf Alberta spruce, making it a perfect accent for small to moderate-sized landscapes. It's also an absolute gem for rock garden, container garden or perennial border. Perfect shape, slow growth, lovely texture and color, combine to create a remarkable little plant that will never outgrow its place in your garden. 2-4" per year. Up to 3 ft. Green Upright Narrow Full sun. -30 to -20 F
Picea glauca
'Little Globe'
Mid-green foliage with prominent, large buds on a compact, globose-shaped plant. This neat conifer will complement any rock garden or other home landscape use and is virtually maintenance-free to maintain its shape. 2-3" per year 1.5-2.5 ft. Green Globose Full sun. -30 to -20 F
Picea glauca 'North Star' Selected for its resilience to harsh winter conditions, this sturdy, compact White Spruce produces a densely branched, classic pyramid that is covered with medium-green needles. Its moderate growth rate and ultimate, intermediate size, together with superior hardiness make this introduction from Iseli Nursery ideal for use in larger, more exposed spaces, mixed borders and beds. 8-12" per year. 6-10 ft. Green Upright Broad Full sun. -40 0 to -30 F
Picea glauca
'Pendula'
An outstanding weeping selection and a notable example of an old clone which needs to be rediscovered. Distinctive in its very formal habit, yet very pendulous with stiffly held, downward-hanging branches, heavily covered with soft, light grey-green needles forming a narrow, conical shape. Discovered in a native stand in Guelph, Ontario. 10-12" per year. 8-10 ft. Bluish Green Pendulous Full sun. -50 to -40 F
Picea glauca
'Pixie'
This Alberta selection is a suitable accent for landscape, border or container planting. Needles are short, dark-green with a slight blue-green cast. Extremely dense, very compact growth rate compared with `Conica'. Buds are round, large, and displayed prominently. An exceptional addition to any garden. 1-2" per year. 12-18" Green Upright Narrow Full sun. -20 to -l0 F
Picea glauca
'PixieDust'
Extremely dense, compact and slow growing, this almost-miniature selection resembles 'Conica' in form, but offers a special feature. When the second flush of growth emerges in summer, the new tips are yellow, a surprising effect that contrasts dramatically with the deep-green, mature foliage. Chosen by the American Conifer Society as 2006 Collector's Conifer of the Year, this adaptable cultivar produces a magical effect in trough, container or rock garden. Provide ample moisture and full sun for the best color on this sport of 'Pixie' that was discovered at Iseli Nursery. 1-2" per year. 12-18" Green Yellow Upright Narrow Full sun. -20 to -l0 F
Picea glauca
'Rainbow's End'®
Whoever believes conifers lack seasonal color interest has never seen 'Rainbow's End'. Comparable to Picea glauca 'Conica' except for color. In spring, the new growth is light green, nothing out of the ordinary. In mid-summer, the second flush is nothing but extraordinary. Bright, creamy-yellow new growth contrasts dramatically against the dark-green older foliage. Mutation found at Iseli Nursery in 1978. 3-6" per year. 3-5 ft. Green Yellow Upright Narrow Full sun. -30 to -20 F
Picea glauca
'Sander's Blue'
'Sander's Blue' is an attractive, slate-blue form of the Alberta Spruce. Plant this form wherever your garden needs some relief from plain, green foliage. Blends well with all conifers and perennials for companion and foundation planting or as a novel focal point. 3-6" per year. 3-5 ft. Green Blue Upright Narrow Full sun. -30 to -20 F
Picea glauca 'Yukon Blue' Short, electric blue-gray needles and prominent, brown buds at the tips of the branches give this narrow, upright pyramid a distinctive look. With a slightly faster rate of growth than ‘Conica,’ it makes an exceptional focal point or grouping. 6-9" per year 5-6 ft. Bluish Green Upright Broad Full sun. -30 to -20 F
