Juniperus communis
'Compressa'
This is an extremely beautiful, compact, narrow, conical-shaped plant. Grows extremely slow in the rock garden setting, making it an unsurpassed miniature, spire-shaped conifer in perfect scale with other choice rockery plants. 3-6" per year. 3-5 ft. Bluish Green Upright Narrow Full sun. -20 to -l0 F
Juniperus communis
'Effusa'
A spreading, flat, circular-shaped plant, 'Effusa' belongs in every garden. The new foliage is tipped a soft cinnamon-brown, maturing to bright green. Its sparse, small needles are held close to the delicately supple, reddish-brown stems. This juniper is very adaptable to shady locations. 6-10" per year. 6-8 ft. Spread Green Groundcover Full sun. -20 to -l0 F
Juniperus communis
'Gold Cone'
Relatively new to the trade, this columnar form of common juniper was selected for its bright golden yellow foliage in spring and summer. More vigorous than 'Compressa', this narrow plant offers wonderfully contrasting form and color for many types of gardens. 3-6" per year. 3-5 ft. Yellow Upright Narrow Full sun. -20 to -l0 F
Juniperus communis
'Green Carpet'
The bright green new spring growth on this densley textured groundcover juniper will mature to form a thich dark green carpet. Extreemly hardy, 'Creen Carpet' is amazing in its adaptability to diverse soil and climate conditions. 3-6" per year. 3-5 ft. spread. Green Groundcover Full sun. -20 to -l0 F
Juniperus communis
'Miniature'
This new variation of the pupular form 'Compressa' with the same small foliage and stature, differing in shape and adaptability. 'Miniature,' although still narrow, has a comparatively broader pyramidal shape and is a more durable selection. Try this in regions where 'Compressa' does not perform well. 3-6" 3-5 ft.
