This is a striking columnar plant, similar to Irish yew in appearance; but reportedly unattractive to browsing deer. Useful as a focal plant and for foundation plantings. 6-12" per year. 5-10 ft. Green Upright Narrow Full sun to partial shade. -10 to 0 F
Cephalotaxus harringtonia
'Prostrata'
A spreading form of plum yew from Hillier's Nursery, England. The long dark green needles are similar in appearance to yew foliage but reported to be less appealing to browsing deer. A yew substitute where deer damage is a problem and also tolerant of shade. 6-12" per year. 5-10 ft. Green Spreading Full sun to partial shade. -10 to 0 F
